Director, Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing (System)

Under general guidance of the VP/AVP of Cardiac Operations, provides leadership and direct operational oversight of Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing across multiple Virtua Health locations to assure accomplishment of system established goals and objectives. The Director Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing has the overall responsibility to plan, organize and direct the administrative, financial, and clinical operations, of the cardiac testing departments. This position will oversee the cardiac testing management team and will require cross collaboration across several divisions/departments to ensure initiatives and goals are successful from a global perspective.
Position Responsibilities
Leads system-wide operations for Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing across multiple campuses, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, growth strategies, and service line objectives. Builds effective relationships with physicians, site leadership, and cross-functional partners to support access, quality, and volume growth.
Oversees financial and operational performance, including development and management of annual operating and capital budgets. Monitors key metrics such as productivity, resource utilization, and expense control to ensure achievement of established targets.
Optimizes workforce and resource utilization by aligning staffing, scheduling, and equipment deployment with patient demand. Implements process improvements to enhance throughput, efficiency, and patient experience while maintaining quality standards.
Provides leadership and development to management teams, ensuring effective hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
Ensures compliance and quality excellence across all sites by maintaining accreditation standards (IAC, DNV, ACR, etc.) and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives in partnership with medical directors.
Drives innovation and strategic initiatives, including technology adoption, Epic workflow optimization, and data-driven decision making to advance program capabilities and patient care outcomes.
Demonstrates leadership integrity and alignment with Virtua’s Culture of We, ensuring ethical conduct, inclusivity, and adherence to all organizational policies, regulations, and standards.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:Minimum of 5 years managerial experience is required. Experience should include a variety of increasingly complex supervisory and managerial assignments with demonstrated expertise in the core management functions of planning, organizing, and leading. Demonstrated record of progressive leadership and operational management experience within a healthcare setting. Requires strong business acumen, effective communication and analytical skills, and the ability to translate strategic goals and objectives into measurable outcomes.
Required Education: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline required.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing Leadership, or a related field.
Training / Certification / Licensure:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Active professional licensure or certification in the State of New Jersey in a relevant clinical or technical discipline (e.g., RN, RRT, RDCS, RCS, RVT, CCT, or equivalent).
Annual Salary: $114,147 - $188,119 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Virtua’s annual incentive compensation plan (AICP). The amount is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document.
