Job Summary:

To provide data support and clinical analysis for decisions impacting clinical outcomes, quality metrics and risk/safety management to Radiology service line.

Position Responsibilities

Manage aspects of Radiation Dose Management database systems including data connections, data quality and integrity, facility/machine/staff organization, protocol management & RADLEX mapping, design of informational dashboards, and production of timely reports as requested by physics team and Radiology end users

Support and troubleshoot system-wide Electronic QA Recording System for all diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy equipment, user management, report production, data integrity and quality metrics.

Monitor and support Softcopy Display Calibration system; interface with PACS IS Team on hardware and software issues regarding display quality, DICOM information exchange, display presentation and system readiness.

Support all ACR radiology data registries, including data input, report generation, dashboard quality data and user/equipment management.  Assist physics team with image file transmission and troubleshooting.  Provide support to radiology staff with accreditation account issues.

Interface with Information Services staff to support Radiology imaging and data concerns including PACS, EMR, Dosimetry, Image Analysis applications and related medical physics/radiology IT resources

Support all other radiation physics team critical applications as necessary.

Participate in Physics Team weekly meetings; assist in budget and program planning, strategic goals and development of new initiatives to support radiology services.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience: 2+ years database systems management and/or design; computer networking and knowledge of wide variety of computer applications.

Familiarity with DICOM image systems and diagnostic imaging equipment recommended but not required.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or closely related scientific field

Training / Certification / Licensure: Credentialed in radiologic science recommended but not required
