EEG Tech Full-time Nights 7P-7A / VOLOL Camden
Job ID: R1053594 Type: Full Time Location: Camden, New Jersey Standard Hours: 36 Shift: Night Shift - 12 HrEEG position for the Neuro ICU wing at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes.
Experience with NATUS LTM end EPIC preferred. EMG and Evoked potential experience not required or performed. Location varies as needed. Additional remote monitoring responsibilities required if schedule permits.
Job Summary:
The neurology technician is responsible for providing various electroencephalogram studies (Routine, Sleep Deprived, LTM EEG,) as ordered by a physician for patients from adult to geriatric age. In addition, this individual will act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG system and long-term EEG monitoring systems.
Position Responsibilities
Performs various types of encephalogram studies
Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems. Clips long-term monitoring studies to reduce required server space.
Obtains patient history from medical record, documents information in digital EEG system. Ensures patient orders and charges are correct and appropriate.
Required Experience: A minimum of one year adult experience is preferred must be in a clinical setting. Knowledge of digital EEG systems is preferred. ABRET pathways considered.
Required Education: High school education, college education preferred. Graduate of accredited EEG program preferred. Must qualify for ABRET registry examination under at least ONE current ABRET pathway.
Training / Certification / Licensure: BLS, board eligible via ABRET pathway, R.EEG. T Registry within two years of hire.
Hourly Rate: $27.80 - $43.12 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
