Job Summary:

This position will serve as a resource for our ASC partners, providing support in various areas such as quality outcomes, clinical processes, surgical practices, supply chain, pharmaceuticals, and HR. It will assist in the hiring process for key leadership positions and report to the VP of Operations and Ambulatory Development JV PB. The position will focus on fostering a culture of trust among stakeholders, overseeing quality and regulatory reporting for Virtua's Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and collaborating with center leadership and management companies for accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory agencies. It will manage data collection for quality metrics and accreditation/certification evaluations, coordinate new equipment acquisition, and oversee construction project management. Additionally, the position will improve communication methods between joint venture ASC partner teams and facilitate the Joint Venture ASC annual retreat, while also serving as an operational advisor and partner in daily business processes.

Position Responsibilities:

Accountable for analysis and monitoring of quality and patient safety data and serves as a resource for clinical, physician, ancillary and operations leaders as well as staff in the development and implementation of strategies to achieve required results.

Mentor and coach unit and department directors in quality and patient safety goals, in analysis of their dashboards and the development of unit-based action plans that cascade upward and contribute positively into facility results.

Responsible for local facility’s active participation in the reporting of Sentinel events, reportable events to the NJ DOH, etc.  Analyzes facility specific results to identify opportunities for risk reduction and the development of successful action plans.  Communicates sentinel, critical or reportable events as appropriate. Participates in root cause analysis by the Center’s leadership team, and disseminate information, lessons learned and findings relevant to other ASCs.

Support the local facility in continued readiness for Regulatory accreditation and licensing surveys, and daily operational practices.

Participate on the ASCs COC and Board committees as needed and involved in due diligence process for site visits and construction needs as assigned.

Assess staff development opportunities; identifies resources to address those needs; and provides appropriate coaching including training or developmental sessions as appropriate.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

Requires 7-10 years of comparable healthcare experience. Experience in ambulatory surgery care facility and a broad base of knowledge in surgical practice, evidenced based care and management, and regulatory surveys strongly preferred.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in a health-related field.

Master’s degree preferred

Training / Certification / Licensure:

RN licensure required; CNOR preferred

Annual Salary: $132,100 - $211,963 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Virtua’s annual incentive compensation plan (AICP). The amount is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document.
