Manager Phlebotomy Full-time Days / Voorhees

Job Summary:
Manages, coordinates, and participates in the activities of the Phlebotomy department. Supports VP of Laboratory Services and Directors Lab Operations in financial, human resources, and quality management activities.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for strategic direction, leadership, and operational oversight for phlebotomy across multiple locations, conducting site visits and quality assurance audits within a specialty area through the monitoring of testing systems and processes from the pre-analytical phase through the post analytical phase of testing. Perform all appropriate documentation to remain compliant with current standards and regulatory codes.
Manages staff across multiple locations both behavioral and technical development and tracking key performance indicators through application of Virtua Star Behaviors and the administration of competency and proficiency testing programs.
Responsible for communicating technical and organizational information both inter and interdepartmentally using email, staff meetings, campus communication groups, and other methods of communication across multiple locations.
In conjunction with the assigned, director or manager, designs, directs and evaluates multidisciplinary performance improvement programs using the Virtua tool kit across multiple locations.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Phlebotomy. 3-5 years of supervisory experience is required. Must have a good general knowledge of laboratory technology and a thorough knowledge of Phlebotomy. Good interpersonal skills are necessary as is the ability to develop and understand budget and statistical records related to the laboratory’s operation.
Required Education: Associates required, bachelor’s preferred.
Training / Certification / Licensure: A valid driver's license may be required.
Annual Salary: $79,719 - $123,934 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Virtua’s annual incentive compensation plan (AICP). The amount is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document.
