Marketing Intern

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to a number of cross-departmental projects in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, reputation and online management, public relations, and more. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and can work effectively on their own and as part of a group.
Job Responsibilities:
• Help with email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
• Support the creation of marketing materials such as blog posts, graphics, and promotional content.
• Work with the social media team and contribute to content strategy by identifying trends and opportunities, develop content for posts, and help with reporting and audit needs.
• Reputation and online management, including responding to online reviews; and auditing, updating, and maintaining online business listings.
• Support the development and packaging of materials for award submissions for local and industry opportunities for Virtua leaders and departments.
• Attend and support in-person marketing events, including video shoots, media events, and staff gatherings.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on brainstorming new ideas and strategies.
Qualifications:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to quickly prepare accurate, engaging messages and content.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Basic knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite (including Photoshop and Adobe Premier for video editing), or similar is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with marketing trends.
• This is a mostly remote position with some in-person requirements and opportunities.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Rising Juniors and above preferred.
Summary:
The intern's primary responsibility is to gain practical experience related to the operations of a health system.
Through this formative experience, the intern can gain insights that can influence an intern's chosen career path.
In return, Virtua draws upon the unique talents and interests of the intern to assist in projects and/or operations related to the intern's interest and needs of the administrative sponsor.
Position Responsibilities:
• Intern will take direction from an administrative sponsor on duties to perform during the duration of the internship. Duties must be commensurate with the interns experience and level of understanding.
• Intern will complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner while exhibiting the Virtua STAR qualities.
• Intern must convey a positive attitude and be self-motivated.
• Intern will shadow a Virtua employee according to the direction of the administrative sponsor.
• Intern must complete and present a final report as directed by the administrate sponsor prior to the completion of the internship.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Intern must provide a resume and statement of objective/learning goals prior to the start of the internship.
Required Education:
Interns can be currently matriculating high school, undergraduate graduate students or recent (less than one year) graduates.
Hourly Rate: $18.69 - $26.01 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
