Site Manager Material & Logistics (Full Time)

Job Summary:
The Materials and Logistics Site Manager leads at assigned location/s efficient workflow, leads and mentors supply chain and logistics associates. Accountable for problem solving according to Virtua Supply Chain standard operating procedures, including Clinical Resource Management new product requests, conversions and substitution processes. Serves as a liaison to service center, procurement and sourcing. Leads Logistic Services to all departments and distributes medical supplies or equipment to supported customer areas in a timely manner, as applicable. Services include shipments, receiving, distribution, inventory, and materials management. Proactively analyzes inventory levels and other supply chain efficiencies to optimize and problem solve using supply chain best practice and data available from applicable systems.
Position Responsibilities:
- Communicates on a consistent basis with supply chain leadership, customers and associates to ensure customer and departmental needs/requirements are met. Consistently communicates critical information which may impact service levels.
- Reviews, makes recommendations and provides usage reports to department leaders.
- Directs the creation of new par levels for supplies upon request from nursing and ancillary directors.
- Directs par level changes to current par level forms.
- Solves problems and provides solutions.
- Recruits, mentors and leads to cultivate and maintain a highly functional work group that understands the goals and objects of the Virtua Supply Chain.
- Ensures the assigned team/s adhere to quantity and quality of incoming product using applicable equipment (i.e., handheld or personal computer) and computer system/s.
- Leads team to receive, fill, transport and deliver orders to designated areas using applicable systems and equipment (i.e., material handling, handheld and/or personal computer). Assigns proper resources within the assigned team/s to address discrepancies of shipments and invoices. Appropriately delegates shipping of packages to designated vendors upon request. I.E repairs needed for biomed, returns for credit.
- Leads the maintenance and optimization of assigned inventories, ensures First In First Out (FIFO) is practiced.
- Maintains the overall cleanliness, safety and security of the receiving, storage facility (i.e., hospital, department, ASC and/or medical office) operations.
- Delegates when appropriate work with clinical leaders through action and education to achieve product standardization, optimum inventory locations and/or levels and reduction of operating expenses.
- Audits on a routine basis for expired supplies, documents findings.
- Checks e-mails/voicemail, faxes and phone for supply requests and/or delivery/product issues and either resolves or forwards information to appropriate associate for resolution.
- Attends meetings as required including daily huddles, product committees etc.
- Participates in annual physical inventories.
- Responsible for timekeeping of designated associates/ areas.
- Responsible for the orientation and training of new employees and others as requested.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years supply chain logistics and materials management experience. Health care experience supply chain preferred.
Experience using an inventory management system and/or ERP.
Must have excellent communication, critical thinking and leadership skills.
Good knowledge/skills in computer use (data entry, generate and discern reports, email usage)
Required Education:
HS degree or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Annual Salary: $77,405 - $123,574 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Virtua’s annual incentive compensation plan (AICP). The amount is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document.
