Clinical Nutrition Manager - NICU Fulltime

Job Summary:

Manages the medical nutrition therapy of patients in their appropriate units/settings.  Responsible for assuring that nutrition care is provided according to policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines. Responsible for the daily activities of the site including but not limited to hiring, assigning, developing and evaluating the Dietetics staff.

Position Responsibilities:

Performs patient nutritional assessment, education, and counseling. Ensures that related documentation is accurate and timely. Rounds on units regularly.

Manages the day- to- day operations on site. This includes selecting, orienting, assigning, coaching/counseling, developing, monitoring, and evaluating clinical staff and interns. Required attendance/participation in all Nutrition-related meetings.  Serves as site lead per regulatory guidelines.

Coordinates data collection and quality/productivity statistics for nutritional reports. Responsible for on-going Performance Improvement initiatives for the department.

Subject matter expert to health care team, peers, and Food Services regarding patient nutrition concerns.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

Five years’ experience in hospital nutrition required. Previous supervisory/management experience desirable. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, organization and time management ability. Experience working with department budgeting preferred.

Required Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics.

Training / Certification / Licensure:

Valid registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD)/(CDR).

Annual Salary: $77,405 - $123,574 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Virtua’s annual incentive compensation plan (AICP). The amount is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document.
