Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overall operations of the Patient Transport/Escort Department, including management of all transport staff. The position is also responsible for overseeing patient care equipment, including purchasing equipment, and ensures equipment is safe and efficient for patient care.

Position Responsibilities

Manages staff to include completing performance appraisals, departmental goal setting, coaching, counseling, and following through on action plans. Supports individual and departmental achievement using recognition methods. Encourage and engage staff to ensure high levels of employee and patient satisfaction.

Rounds and communicates with employees. Manages process improvement for department.

Conducts staff meetings, committee meetings and in-service training for employees.

Prepares payroll and daily productivity logs; maintains PI data

Interviews, hires, orients new patient transport staff and completes all related documentation.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Patient Care Experience, Patient Transport experience require. Prior leadership in healthcare preferred. 

Required Education: H. S. Diploma or equivalent

Annual Salary: $63,179 - $98,171 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
