Radiology Supervisor - Orthopedics, Somers Point

Summary:
Direct and supervise the daily operations of diagnostic radiology to include, staffing for shifts, patient flow, and technical and clerical scheduling.
Possess and demonstrates proficiency of advanced knowledge of radiographic procedures and ensures competency of staff.
Supports the Virtua Mission and Vision Statement and upholds the values of integrity, respect, caring, commitment, teamwork and excellence.
Adheres to all Virtua policies and procedures and maintains a customer focus and promotes patient and employee satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overseeing daily activities within the department maintaining staffing, patient flow, keep technical staff productivity to a maximum, maintaining QA and assure that service provided is of the highest clinical quality.
• Supports individual and departmental achievement through the use of recognition methods.
• Assists Director/Manager with pertinent feedback for the completion of Best People Reviews and competencies for staff members and help to deal with inappropriate employee behavior or actions in a direct and confidential manner.
• Provides new employee orientation within the department and clarifies performance expectations with employees providing ongoing feedback on a regular basis documenting expectations and corrective actions.
• Obtains appropriate documentation from technical staff to ensure compliance with state and national licensing/accrediting agencies as well as compliance with all of Virtua’s policies and compliance requirements to include Safety Training, PPD, Fit Testing, HIPAA, Corporate Compliance and JCAHO.
• Utilizing Resource Stewardship by operating the department within budgetary guidelines to include appropriate staffing levels.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
Previous supervisory experience a plus.
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, A.R.R.T., and NJDEP licensure required.
IV and CPR certification preferred.
Annual Salary: $82,033 - $130,988 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
