Part Time Medical Assistant - Hybrid

Friday: 7:45am - 2:00pm, remote
Thursday Late Shift: 9:30am - 7:00pm every four weeks, based on departmental needs
*May be required to work onsite on an occasional Tuesday to provide coverage for the full-time Medical Assistant.
Summary:
The Hybrid Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support for in-person and virtual patient care. This role prepares patients for office and telehealth visits, obtains and documents clinical information, performs clinical procedures within the scope of certification, and assists providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The Hybrid Medical Assistant also supports front office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, phone triage, and care coordination, while ensuring a seamless patient experience across all care settings. Success in this role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hybrid healthcare environment.
Position Responsibilities:
• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs, and chief complaint, and preparing patient for provider exam. Prepares exam room as required based on chief complaint.
• Performs phlebotomy and obtains specimens for processing. Administers vaccines and completes required documentation. Performs diagnostic tests such as EKG, Pulmonary Function, etc. as directed and under the supervision of the physician.
• Screens and directs patient calls according to established protocol. Contacts patients regarding prescriptions and testing results as directed by and under the supervision of the physician.
• Performs daily regulatory testing as required and documents accordingly, to ensure that clinical equipment is accurate and compliant.
• Maintains par level of clinical supplies for facility.
• Performs front desk duties as directed which may include registering patients, billing, and appointment scheduling.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
0-2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred.
Required Education:
HS diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Virtua Health Medical Assistant Program.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant. In the state of DE, certification is required within 1 year of hire.
BLS Certification required.
Hourly Rate: $19.54 - $29.20 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
