Thoracic Surgical Oncologist - Virtua Thoracic Surgery
Virtua Health is seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained Thoracic Surgical Oncologist. Candidates must have at least three years of experience with well-developed minimally invasive thoracic surgery expertise including established robotic training/experience. The candidate will be expected to have experience with both malignant and benign thoracic disease including the full spectrum of pulmonary, esophageal, mediastinal, and chest wall. In addition, the candidate will ideally have a focused interest in expanding our malignant foregut program. The candidate should be highly motivated to obtain excellent clinical outcomes and to provide continued program development.
Practice Details:
Well-established PENN Medicine/Virtua Cancer Program.
Academic affiliation with Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Virtua Health College of Medicine & Health Sciences of Rowan University
Comprehensive Cancer Center with a dedicated team incorporating a robust multi-disciplinary approach with all the supportive services, including experienced medical oncologists and an advanced radiation oncology practice with the first Proton Therapy system in the region.
5 Hospital Community Cancer Center with full Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation
Comprehensive Lung Program with a mature Lung Cancer Screening Program and Lung Nodule Program, incorporating an established smoking cessation program
State-of-the-art integrated software program for accurate patient tracking and follow-up
State-of-the-art surgical equipment, including the latest da Vinci Xi robotic platform with unfettered access
Integrated Interventional Pulmonary service line with access to a Robotic Navigational Bronchoscopy system
Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS) - General Thoracic Surgery Database Contributor
